Xiaomi Mi 5s LineageOS 14.1, Android Nougat 7.1 ROM

WHAT’S WORKING:
– Camera
– Phone
– LTE
– WiFi
– Fingerprint scanner
– Double SIM card (menu’s – can’t test as I have only 1 SIM)
– NFC
– GPS
KNOWN ISSUES:
– Not Known

A couple of remarks though:
– I can’t set the button actions properly, as there is no menu item for the “Back” button. I like to have “Back” on the left, and “Menu” on the right of the “Home” button.
Am I missing something here?
– There are no “Quick Settings” tiles (buttons) for NFC on/off or GPS on/off

Besides these small issues, Lineage 14.1 seems to be working perfectly.
Excellent work! Exactly what I was looking for!

– Root access in Developer options is limited to “Disabled” and “ADB only”

Hi Albert, you might know that the SU binary is not accessible on the Lineage ROM by default (at least for user access) from now onwards. Lineage team has decided not to put this onto the ROM but a developer can make it to be there in the ROM out-of-box by building the Lineage ROM with WITH_SU=true environment variable.

See the Lineage 14.1 ROOT enable guide for more info. Recently I have updated the page.

Please follow the SuperSU flashing for Lineage 14.1 and see if that helps you to enable ROOT or not.

I have found 1 issue so far, not sure how to resolve yet:

Touch: I have to use 3 fingers to zoom in / zoom out. If anyone knows how to fix it, please share.

My experience with this ROM , so far really awesome. Except face the follwoing three issue

1) Camera optical zomm not working
2) Google web viewing not working notification appear frequently
3) COC game unable zooming in and out. Is this normal

Harry, try to use 3 fingers to zoom in zoom out
I am looking for apk or zip for MIUI camera, will uodate if find one

HI Gizmo,
Had refresh rom and the following is working now.
1) Zooming in and out is working. No need 3 fingers ( COC game )
2) Camera Optical zoom working. Still not so stable. Sometimes unable snap. No respond. Exit the apps and it work back.

New issue : Hotspot show error. Not able transmit. The build is still Jan 18 . Is there a new one date Feb 7th. Can give me the link
